WHICH CAR CARRYING RACK WON’T COVER LICENSE PLATE?

    I am looking for a cycle carrier that will not obscure my vehicle number plate. I have found two different types but am not sure which one is the best.
    One is from Halfords, which holds up to 3 bikes, and the other is the Avenir Arizona. Which is the better brand, please? Thanks.

    Whether a carrier obscures your car’s number plate depends as much on the bikes as it does the carrier. For example, a single bike on a rear carrier might end up in such a position that you can see the car’s number plate between the bike’s wheels—but once you put a second bike on, one of its wheels covers the plate. Or it might not. You can’t really tell without putting the particular bikes and carrier onto your car.
    The thoughtful folks at Halfords recommend attaching the number plate to the outer bike. Hm. Another thought: Don’t worry about it until you get stopped—then maybe try Halfords’ idea.
