HEAVY RIDERS SHOCKS LOSE PRESSURE
June 26, 2006
I have a K2 bike and am looking
to replace the fork with a new one that can support my weight.
I weigh 330 lbs., and it seems to lose all the air pressure
as I use it on a short ride. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ryan:
You dont give the age of the
bike, but a relatively new shock should not lose pressure
that quickly. Possibly, the valve (where you put in more
air) leaks cuz the valve stems gotten loose.
You could get a valve stem remover
(from, sorry, an auto parts store) and try removing and
replacing the valve stem, making sure it goes back in tight.
Otherwise, take that bike back to the dealer.
