AGE AND MODEL OF SCHWINN TANDEM
June 6, 2006
I have a Schwinn tandem bike
and I want to sell it but can't find the model or year.
It has numbers H-L or M-L followed by 28250. The tires say
26 x 1 3/4 and "West Wind." I also found "A5
A8." It is green & chrome. All original parts.
Can you help me to find information?

Marcia:
In the mid 60s, Schwinn went
to a serial numbering scheme in which the first letter means
the month (with A = January) and the second letter means
the year (with A = 1965). Schwinn skipped the letters I
and O.
That makes your bikes birth
date 1976.
If the bikes frame doesnt
show the model, I havent a clue. I suggest you try
posting a query to the Schwinn
classic classifieds.
